Medicare eligibility is separate from appointment length. The explainer gives common examples, not a complete list, and eligibility still needs confirmation for each appointment.
Included
The consultation fee covers the appointment with an AHPRA-registered Australian GP. If the doctor provides a prescription, medical certificate, pathology or imaging referral, or specialist referral during that consultation, there is no additional HerDoc fee.
A consultation does not guarantee a particular clinical outcome. If another consultation is needed, it is booked separately. Eligible standard follow-up appointments can be bulk billed at $0 with no gap; otherwise, private fees apply.
Medicare
At launch, eligible standard consultations will be bulk billed, so the Medicare benefit is accepted as full payment and there is no gap. Eligibility depends on current Medicare rules and the appointment. Private standard consultations will cost $49 AUD and private long consultations will cost $95 AUD.

DVA
HerDoc supports DVA-funded consultations for eligible Veteran Card holders. Coverage depends on your card, the condition being treated and the appointment. Confirm DVA coverage before booking.
Appointment changes
The payment, refund and payment-transfer rules below apply to appointments you have paid for.
Reschedule without charge or cancel for a full refund.
Rebook once within seven days using the same payment.
Choose a free rebooking or a full refund.
A second late cancellation or missed appointment forfeits the payment. An eligible bulk-billed consultation has no consult payment to refund or transfer. Medicare eligibility is assessed again for any later appointment.
