Why HerDoc exists
Everyday GP care should be easier to organise. For many women, the hard part is finding time, feeling properly heard and knowing the doctor understands what is going on.
HerDoc exists to make it simpler for women to get help for everyday GP concerns, with GPs who listen, ask the right questions and help you understand what to do next.
What HerDoc does
HerDoc helps women in Australia access everyday GP care through telehealth.
You can use HerDoc to talk through non-emergency symptoms, follow-up questions, women’s health concerns, medication questions, certificate requests, referrals or test discussions. Your GP will listen, assess the concern and guide the next step.
Women-first, not women’s-health-only
Women-first means HerDoc is a GP telehealth service for women, built around the way women often need care to work: practical, private and easier to organise.
It is not limited to women’s health topics. HerDoc may also help with everyday GP concerns, follow-up questions, certificate requests, medication questions, referrals or test discussions.
How care works
You start online, share what is going on, speak with a GP by phone where available, then follow the doctor’s next-step advice.
Information you share before the consult helps the GP prepare. It does not diagnose, prescribe, issue certificates, make referrals or decide treatment.
Doctor-led care
Care is led by the treating doctor. They listen, ask follow-up questions, check safety and explain the next step.
Prescriptions, certificates, referrals and tests are not automatic; they depend on the consult and the doctor’s assessment.
When telehealth is not enough
Telehealth is not suitable for every concern. Some symptoms need in-person care, local testing, urgent care, emergency care or ongoing care with a usual GP.
HerDoc is for non-emergency care only. Call 000 or seek urgent local care for severe, sudden, rapidly worsening or unsafe symptoms.
How HerDoc uses AI
HerDoc AI may support administrative tasks, such as organising information and helping approved workflows run more smoothly.
It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, decide eligibility, make clinical decisions or independently triage patients. Care remains doctor-led.
What HerDoc is not
HerDoc is not for emergencies, not a replacement for usual GP care in every situation and not a shortcut around medical assessment. It is not an AI-led clinical service, a prescription-access service or a guarantee of patient-requested outcomes.
HerDoc is a focused telehealth service for suitable everyday GP care for women, with doctors in control of clinical decisions.
When telehealth may not be suitable
- Emergencies or rapidly worsening symptoms.
- Concerns needing immediate examination, local tests, or emergency care.
When to seek urgent care
Call 000 or seek urgent local care for severe, sudden, rapidly worsening, or unsafe symptoms.
- Severe chest pain, breathing difficulty, collapse, or stroke symptoms.
- Severe pain, heavy bleeding, sudden neurological symptoms, or symptoms that feel unsafe.
