What does HerDoc look for in doctors?
HerDoc is looking for AHPRA-registered Australian doctors with experience in women’s health, everyday GP care and safe telehealth practice. Doctors complete HerDoc onboarding and training before providing care through the platform. The process may include registration, identity, indemnity, prescribing and workflow checks, depending on the role.
Baseline requirements
Doctors need current AHPRA registration as an Australian GP.
They also need appropriate professional indemnity insurance and prescribing eligibility for the work they will do through HerDoc.
Credential and compliance checks
HerDoc reviews each doctor’s credentials before platform access is confirmed. This may include AHPRA registration, provider and prescriber details, professional indemnity, identity, right-to-work where relevant, and any role-specific checks.
Registering interest starts the conversation. Work, onboarding, platform access and roster access are confirmed only after the relevant checks and onboarding steps are complete.
What onboarding can involve
Onboarding includes credential verification and training in HerDoc workflows, software and processes.
Onboarding does not confirm paid sessions, patient volume, employment, roster access, or continuing platform access.
Technology and workspace readiness
Doctors need a secure, private environment, a computer and reliable high-speed internet for remote consultation work.
HerDoc phone consultations are made through the computer. Detailed remote-consulting requirements are handled through HerDoc's onboarding and workflow materials.
Telehealth standard
HerDoc aligns its telehealth model with the Medical Board baseline: care must be safe and, as far as possible, meet the same standards as in-person care.
Phone consultations are the current supported mode, video is planned, and doctors can redirect care whenever telehealth is not suitable.
