A strength in women's everyday GP care

HerDoc is built around prepared, organised phone consultations for women who want timely GP care without sitting in a clinic waiting room.

The workflow supports consistent appointments, clear patient communication and practical follow-through such as prescriptions, certificates, pathology, referrals, follow-up or escalation where clinically appropriate.

When online care is not the right setting

HerDoc is not for emergencies or symptoms that need immediate hands-on care. Examples include chest pain, stroke signs, severe shortness of breath, fainting, severe bleeding, severe pain, immediate danger, or a mental health crisis.

Some concerns need local examination, a procedure, urgent monitoring or a usual-GP relationship. Controlled-medicine requests are not promoted as an online service.

Clear next steps when care needs to move

If a concern needs urgent, local, in-person or usual-GP care, the consult can move toward that next step clearly.

The aim is practical, doctor-led care: manage what can be safely handled online, and make the next pathway clear when another setting is better.

Phone, video, and escalation

Phone consults are the current supported mode. Video is a planned capability.

If a phone consult is inadequate for the clinical question, the doctor redirects care according to the approved escalation workflow.

FAQs

Can a HerDoc doctor redirect a patient to in-person care?

Yes. The treating doctor can redirect a patient to in-person, urgent, emergency, usual-GP, specialist, or other care whenever telehealth is not suitable.

Does HerDoc handle controlled medicine requests?

HerDoc does not promise online prescribing for controlled medicines. Any request is handled only where legally permitted, clinically appropriate, and supported by HerDoc policy. The treating doctor can decline, redirect, or escalate the request.
