Booking flow

How booking and triage works

Quick triage, clinician review, then your virtual consult. Not for emergencies; red-flag symptoms are escalated to ED/000.

1) Book your slot

Pick a time that fits. We’ll confirm your state and contact details up front.

2) Quick triage

Our triage gathers symptoms and flags red-flag scenarios. It supports, but does not replace, GP judgement.

3) Virtual consult

The GP reviews your triage, asks what matters, and decides whether a prescription, referral, certificate, test request, or other next step is clinically appropriate.

What to expect

  • Same-day or next-day times may be available. The booking page shows current doctor availability before you confirm.
  • We keep you updated if your doctor changes or is running behind.
  • Not for emergencies — for chest pain, stroke signs, heavy bleeding, or crisis, call 000 or go to ED.

What we’re not

  • Not an emergency service. For chest pain, stroke signs, severe bleeding, or mental health crisis, call 000 or go to ED.
  • No controlled medicine requests online. Clinicians decide whether prescriptions, certificates, referrals, or other next steps are suitable.

Safety and privacy

  • Book online, then speak with a GP for everyday, non-emergency care.
  • Analytics is optional and uses a general content category rather than the specific health page. It does not receive your form answers or health details.

Red flags

  • Call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
  • Possible stroke. Call 000 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
  • For immediate help, call 000 or Lifeline at 13 11 14.
